104 Holm House | Double Room with Seaview Bath

Disappointing, spoilt our holiday. Facilities below expectations. Positive: Room was clean. nice view of the coast between the trees Negative: No staff so ratings for staff is irrelevant on Booking.com. E-mails were intrusive and computer generated always starting with making your stay comfortable but having the opposite effect eg rec'd one hoping arrival went smoothly and room comfortable after sending a complaint( and getting email reply) of no handle on wardrobe door, no shelves, no rail and no coat hangers; only toiletries for 1 night, only 1 chair and no table. 1 small shelf in bathroom for toiletries/cosmetics.Telephone number for contacting airserviced is irrelevant as have to email through digital front desk. Received computer generated E-mail for no noise after 10pm but restaurant had press opening 2 nights after we arrived and music and talking heard after 10pm on that and following night. Rail and hangers were provided for wardrobe the next day but no handle on door! Informed only starter pack of toiletries provided although booking .com states free toiletries. We were told more toiletries for a 4 night stay for 2 people would be provided but they were not. Airserviced describes the room as self catering but it's room only as no cutlery, no plates just 2 cartons of jam and a few salt and peppers provided! Before checking out another computer generated message is received under guise of making leaving easy and comfortable but not for the guest for management with instructions for used linen, rubbish, locking door etc. We had king size room with sea view. Photo's on booking.com generally accurate but now bed has 4 poster frame which dominates the room and is not suitable. Also bedside cupboards are now small tables. Booking.com said flexible to rebook but the apartment is airbnb and does not give such flexibility. It also required personal verification and £100 returnable deposit against damage or breakages. I feel this sort of information should be on Booking.com as it can affect decision as to whether or not to book.

Horrible. Negative: The whole experience was a shambles. It was like staying on a building site.

Absolutely not luxurious. Positive: Really good location and the bed was comfortable. Shower was okay too. Negative: It wasn't cleaned before we got there. I raised this with the support team and they didn't seem bothered. We were also missing toiletries and tea and coffee and this wasn't provided until after we got there. It's advertised as luxury but it's basically a travel lodge with a bath tub in the room. We were also missing a TV remote which we raised to the support team when we noticed we had no toiletries, tea or coffee. And this wasn't delivered to us on the first time of asking. It was a poor experience to be honest and we weren't offered any compensation for the poor service. Wouldn't stay again.
