101 Holm House | Seaview Room with Soaking Bath

Positive: The room was lovely, bed was comfortable, we had a sea view, the role top bath was nice. Coffee machine and welcome pack was great. Having a Fridge is handy. Although we didnt have time to use gym area and pool the staff were helpful the manager or trainer showed us round the new facilities and was so nice. We hope to stop a few times next year as our daughter is at Cardiff Uni and Penarth is a lovely town and nice walks near the location. Lovely seating areas outside with sea view and a bar area which I presume is open in the Summer. Good car park We noticed this location when we visited Penarth a month ago so were frilled I found but online to book at a good price. Negative: The online booking in is a bit of a faff and paying a deposit. The shower door leaks onto the floor so that needs fixing as its causing an issue with tiles grouting cracking. Maybe a breakfast option would be worth adding even if it was a continental as the restaurant area looked nice.

Avoid Positive: Location was great and the restaurant in the hotel was decent. Negative: Dirty and disgusting bathroom in serious need of renovation. In general it was dirty, loads of dust on skirting boards etc. Extra cost to change towels mid-stay, which I've never seen in any hotel before. Issue with parking as restaurant's guests took them in the evening. Seaview from the room was very obstructed.

Lovely accommodation with very nice restaurant on site. Prime location in Penarth. Positive: Good sized room and bathroom - good decor. Little goodie bag with a few snacks and coffee pods etc Negative: Door to room difficult to open A few maintenance issues ie shower a little mouldy
