Gone down hill Positive: Location and parking. I know the hotel well before it got taken over . What a shame its gone so down hill Negative: Countless e mails as self check in .left my card details as requested for breakages ?? Then had 3 further e mails asking for the deposit, bearing in mind this hotel is rsted as luxury. Contacted the number online , was assured I would not have any further e mails, and I would be sent a code to gain access . I did. It didn't work !!. 8 pm arrival, 3 calls they finally called back , said AGAINi had not paid deposit, I had !!! Did get in., then the code never ever worked again . Shower flooded the bathroom . Heating would not work Total disaster Such a shame, it used to be fabulous

Comfortable, great location and view, a bit of friction around the EV charger Positive: Check-in process was completely remote and seamless, did not encounter any challenges with access. Negative: Getting an EV charging code was a bit convoluted, I ended up not using the EV charging point. I suspect someone with an EV would be motivated to navigate that process, but as I had a plug-in hybrid, I decided to forgo charging. Also, there was only a single EV charging point (the second charger was not installed).

Would definitely stay again and in same room ( as only room for three I think?. Would get assurance that fridge in room Positive: Everything! Except for - Negative: 1/ Electric drive gates and pedestrian gate permanently open day & night during our stay-Not that bothered as didn’t bring the Ferrari 2/ Bathroom towel ring hanging off wall, again not really bothered although reported this as a possible H&S issue 3/ Fridge has beautiful BLUE light but was NOT cold and NO obvious Fridge control so could not keep my Daughter’s SOYA milk cold in room (put outside window) She has SEVERE milk allergy (Eppipen Carrier)

It's a fine place, which shows much promise, though it needs responsive forms of customer services. Positive: Generally comfortable, smart, well appointed. Negative: But I will point out in Room 103 there was a strong drain smell in the bathroom on arrival. The bathroom door handle was loose, and so was the toilet seat. And this is how we found them. I wanted to report the two latter bathroom issues, partly so that these would not be thought our fault. The emails bounced back from both reception@holmhouse.com and hello@airserviced.com, both addresses that had sent me emails to check during the stay. These were evidently unreachable or unresponsive over the weekend. It was just as well that our problems were not more urgent. I don't know what would have been the situation if they were.
